Hidden Cove Park & Marina

Hidden Cove Park encompasses 720 acres of excellent outdoor recreational adventures along Lewisville Lake. Camping areas include tent, screened shelter, cabin, bunkhouse and RV sites with full hook-ups. Amenities include boat ramps, sandy beach front, bank fishing, horseshoe courts, playground area, pavilions, picnic areas, BBQ grills, volleyball, restrooms with showers and a fish cleaning station. The park hosts a full service marina and features a ship store with fueling dock, boat pump-out station, courtesy slips and watercraft rentals.

Fishing

The Colony Public Library has partnered with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Tackle Loaner Program to bring visitors the opportunity to check out fishing rods and tackle for free. For more details, please read the program information sheet or call the library at 972-625-1900, ext. 2.

FISHING TIPS & STRATEGIES

• Catfish - Found near the 'old' Lake Dallas area
• Hybrids - Found in the main lake and around humps and ridges near Hickory Creek
• Largemouth Bass - Found in coves or along the shoreline and around structures - primarily timber
• White Bass - Sometimes referred to as sand bass, found mainly in the open lake during summer and off of points; specific locations better identified by following gulls
• White Crappie - Found in brushy areas and around boat docks, marinas and bridges crossing the arms of the lake

Hidden Cove Park & Marina is a paid entrance park. Daily and annual permits can be purchased at the park. Proof of residency (drivers license) is required to receive resident discounts.

This full-service marina provides members and guests a ship store, restrooms, boat rentals, fueling dock and 24-72-inch slips available for rental. The marina is located at Hidden Cove Park, which encompasses 720 acres of excellent outdoor recreational opportunities including boat ramps, sandy beachfront, bank fishing, horseshoe courts, playground area, pavilions, picnic areas, BBQ grills, volleyball, restrooms with showers and a fish cleaning station as well as tent, screened shelter, cabin and RV camping with full hook-ups.

• Rent paddleboards, kayaks, or trail bikes at DFW Surf. Embrace adventure with a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) yoga class or explore Lewisville Lake through guided tours and seasonal events.
• The on-site ship store has everything you need for a day on the water. Pontoon boats, ski boats and party boats are also available for rent at this location.

The Hidden Cove Park & Marina Conference Center offers a relaxing atmosphere with a backdrop of Lewisville Lake. The facility is ideal for family or class reunions, corporate picnics, weddings or special events for up to 100 guests. Packages include tables, chairs and access to a service kitchen equipped with a gas stove, oven and refrigerator for convenient meal preparation. Expand your gathering by utilizing additional outdoor space perfect for party tents and complete with an oversized grill. Overnight guests will be delighted to stay in the spacious one and two-story fully furnished bunkhouses while smaller parties will find the same fully furnished amenities in cozier lakeside cabins.
